Biography

Having grown up in the northwest, Janice thrills at the sight of vibrant colors to make gray days sing. Florals and water scenes are her favorite subject matter, which she paints in her studio during the wet winter months. She then sets up during the summer months to paint “plein air” in the many beautiful areas of our region.
She attended Northwest College of Art as well as Peninsula College, where she studied watercolor under Miriam Lansdon and the late Russell Todd as well as many regional artists. Since 1998 she has studied under well known Southwest artist Diane Ainsworth.
Janice has received a variety of honors and awards over the years and continues her ongoing love of art in all major media. Janice received “Best of Show”, March 2007 in Old Town Silverdale, WA Her work is in the hands of private collectors, as well as Corporate Offices and Hospitals.
